Before requesting deletion
BuildTrail Scout accounts are provided through a customer organization; the app does not offer public self-registration. Your organization normally controls membership and construction work records. Removing the app or signing out does not delete your account or server data.
Request account and data deletion
- Contact your BuildTrail organization administrator and request membership closure and deletion of eligible personal information.
- Email contact@curly-byte.de from the address associated with your account. Use the subject “BuildTrail Scout account deletion.”
- Include your name, account email, customer organization name, and whether you use iOS or Android. Do not send your password, identity-document image, customer photos, signatures, or other evidence by email.
- We will acknowledge the request, verify identity and organization authority through a safer channel when needed, and coordinate with the responsible organization.
What can be deleted
When authorized and legally permitted, CurlyByte and/or the customer organization will delete or de-identify the account profile and eligible associated personal information, revoke active sessions, and remove access. Requests for access, correction, export, restriction, or objection can use the same process.
Information that may be retained
Some information may be retained when required by the customer organization’s contract, construction/evidence obligations, security needs, legal claims, tax or recordkeeping law, or other applicable law. This can include immutable original evidence, signed authorizations, finalized reports, provenance, audit/security events, and records that also belong to customers, property owners, or other users.
Where full deletion is not permitted, access may be restricted and personal information de-identified when appropriate. Encrypted backups may retain data for a limited operational period before normal expiration. We will explain the result or applicable exception when legally allowed.
After approval
Sign out of BuildTrail Scout and remove the app from devices you no longer use. Organization access is server-controlled, but removing the app helps clear protected local workspace caches according to the operating system’s deletion behavior.
For more detail, read the BuildTrail Scout Privacy Policy. Company contact information is available in the CurlyByte Solutions legal notice.
